Welcome to the
Wrexham Texans
Welcome to the Wrexham Texans Football Academy. Our programs support player development in their technical proficiencies and enhances their decision-making capabilities within a structured yet flexible curriculum. The Academy offers coaching that supports the 'how' before the 'why'. Based on a coaching framework from the now World-famous Wrexham Football Club, the Wrexham Texans brings a new direction for player development that has seen players gain professional contracts and college scholarships along with introducing the sport and new skills to players in elementary and middle schools.

Fort Worth, Texas Under 8 - Under 13

The Wrexham Texans Football Academy (WTFA) Literacy Project is a program created to support local Elementary and Middle schools using football (soccer) as a vehicle to promote reading and writing levels in both boys and girls. The project has and continues to be implemented throughout the City of Fort Worth Parks and Rec Department during the summer months at community centers across the city. To date, almost 200 children have had access to the project which has elevated reading levels while also improving physical activity levels using the game of soccer to enhance this.

If players don't have the technique to perform a tactic, as coaches we are failing the players of the future. A technical program that enhances their decision making on the 'how' to use techniques is the most important pillar in setting players up to maximize their potential. At the Wrexham Texans Football Academy, we strive to provide that flexible environment to meet the needs of every single player that walks onto our fields.
