In addition to our Training Center offerings, the Wrexham Texans Football Academy offers a variety of individualized training programs shown below! Note that all players must register before they can participate.

Soccer Saturday Dragon skills ages 5-11

This program is designed to meet and improve individual player needs from a technical perspective of ages 5-11. Players will learn new tricks and turns and improve their balance, agility and coordination through carefully planned stations. The Saturday morning Dragon skills sessions are prepared for players of beginners and intermediate levels.

Individual Technical Training Sessions

Develop player technical abilities through a customized training program designed to suit current skill level. Two programs are offered where players can have a full hour of detail and reps from Coach Merola, or you can invite some of your teammates to join in to improve link up play or creating goalscoring opportunities.

Player Feedback Analysis

This program is designed to provide honest and specific feedback to individual players from a technical perspective only. No tactical work is presented to players unless specified and authorized by the player's Club or Head School Coach.

Literacy Project for schools

The Wrexham Texans Football Academy (WTFA) Literacy Project is a program created to support local Elementary and Middle schools using football (soccer) as a vehicle to promote reading and writing levels in both boys and girls.

Summer Clinic June 09-11

Registration is open for the 2025 Summer Series clinics with the Wrexham Texans Academy. Dates for the first clinic are June 09-11. Sessions will maximize touches on the ball and improve technical elements such as dribbling, passing and scoring goals. Speed and agility work will also be included along with some balance and changing direction games. This clinic is for ages 5-11 and aimed at beginners and intermediate levels. Price is $105 per player with a $10 discount for each sibling attending and if you book the first course you will receive a $20 discount per extra sibling in you attend the Summer Series 2!!

2016 Girls SUMMER INDOOR TEAM

Training will start once a week on Thursday's 7-815pm at Highland Middle school on July 10 and continue through August 28th (8 sessions in total). Games will start August 09th. The price is $195 per player and includes all coaching fees (8 sessions and 8 games), registration fee for the indoor along with referee fees for each game.

Limited edition sweatshirts to order

Purchase an official Wrexham Texans Football Academy limited edition sweatshirt. Sizes are adult large in black and gray with children's sizes large and in black only. Prices are $50 for adult sweatshirts or $40 for children but if order before December 20th receive a $10 discount on adults and $5 on children's.

Extra-Curricular Literacy Project

The Wrexham Texans Football Academy (WTFA) Extra-Curricular Literacy Project was launched on the back end of the Summer Series of projects delivered to over 150 children within the Fort Worth Parks and Rec Community Centers. The program is tailored for students to enhance their literacy skills by using soccer as the vehicle to raise levels of reading and writing. In person modules that are covered include creating a match report of their choice and creating a set of questions to interview a semi-professional soccer player and Elite coach. Practical elements are also available so students can enhance their soccer skills whilst also participating in physical activity.

Wednesday Night Skills ages 6-10

Boys and girls aged 6-10 are welcome to come out and train together with Coach Tony Merola to enhance and develop their technique for 75 minutes.

Sessions will be outside on the turf field but bring indoor footwear just in case it rains as we will go inside the gymnasium. Session dates are Wednesday nights from 530-645pm on May 07, 14, 21, and 28th. Price is $65 for all 4 sessions or individual session pricing is available at $20 per session.

Hondo Summer Skills

Registration is open for the Hondo Summer Skills session on Saturday July 19th from 9-11am. Players in grades 7-12 are welcome to register and attend. Sessions will maximize touches on the ball and improve technical elements such as dribbling, passing and scoring goals. Speed and agility work will also be included along with some balance and changing direction games. Price is $30 per player with a $5 sibling discount.
