Individual Technical Training Sessions

Develop player technical abilities through a customized training program designed to suit current skill level. Two programs are offered where players can have a full hour of detail and reps from Coach Merola, or you can invite some of your teammates to join in to improve link up play or creating goalscoring opportunities.

Player Feedback Analysis

This program is designed to provide honest and specific feedback to individual players from a technical perspective only. No tactical work is presented to players unless specified and authorized by the player's Club or Head School Coach.

The Literacy Project

The Wrexham Texans Football Academy (WTFA) Literacy Project is a program created to support local Elementary and Middle schools using football (soccer) as a vehicle to promote reading and writing levels in both boys and girls. The project has and continues to be implemented throughout the City of Fort Worth Parks and Rec Department during the summer months at community centers across the city. To date, almost 200 children have had access to the project which has elevated reading levels while also improving physical activity levels using the game of soccer to enhance this.

After School Program

This is a 5 hour extracurricular football sessions delivered on school campus by the Wrexham Texans Football Academy staff. Staff will come to your Elementary school on a day selected with the Principal and deliver soccer specific drills for players of all levels as soon as the school day is over for grades 1-5. This not only gives kids an opportunity to receive more physicla activity and exercise, but introduces and works on existing skills along with giving parents extra time after school to pick them up!

Betsy Price Community Center

The Wrexham Texans Academy has partnered with the City of Forth Worth to deliver soccer specific skills at the Betsy Price Community Center in Northwest Fort Worth. Sessions are 6-7pm indoor at the center's gymnasium every Monday through July and are delivered by the Academy staff coaches. No cleats are allowed as the surface is a basketball gym court, so tennis shoes are needed.

Enrichment Program

The Wrexham Texans Academy are proud to launch an exciting new program that enhances student reading and physical activity levels using soccer as the vehicle to drive this initiative.

Sessions are to be delivered on school premises after school has finished and will be delivered by qualified and experienced Academy staff.

These sessions are 90 minutes long but split into two parts. The first part for 45 minutes is literacy work where students will actively engage in selected reading choices with the goal of creating an individual match report and interview questions for a semi-professional soccer player.

The second part for the final 45 minutes is a soccer skills session with a specific theme and topic every week so players can learn a variety of tricks and turns while also working on raising physical activity levels.

12U Boys team

Come join in with the Wrexham Texans boy's Academy 12U team and improve technical development in a fun and safe environment. Sessions will be at Highland Middle school on the turf field from 530pm-7pm on Monday and Thursday.
These sessions will be delivered by Coach Paul Gallagher and the team are playing in the TCSL outdoor and indoor at Game On during the Fall.

Friday Night Dragon Skills

Come along every Friday from 6-7pm and get some touches on the ball to improve technique and build on existing skills. These sessions are tailored for players in GRADES 1-5 who are either looking to improve their skills or find a love for the game. Dates are September 18 and 25 at Leo Adams MS on the turf field.
Price is $30 per player.

Highland Soccer Saturday Dragon Skills

Enhance and improve technical development with this 60 minute session on Saturday mornings starting October 03rd from 9-10am at Highland Middle school on the turf field for players in grades 1-5. Sessions are tailored to maximize touches on the ball and improve agility and physical fitness using the ball. The price is $75 per player for all 5 sessions or $20 per player per session.
Session dates are:
October 03, 10, 17, 24, 31.

Haslet Soccer Saturday Dragon Skills

This program is designed to meet and improve individual player needs from a technical perspective for players in grades 1-5 that will start on Saturday September 19th from 8-9am. Players will learn new tricks and turns and improve their balance, agility and coordination through carefully planned stations. The Saturday morning Dragon skills sessions are prepared for players of beginners and intermediate levels and will take place at Leo Adams Middle school on the turf field. Price is $90 per player for all 6 sessions.

Greenbriar Community Center SKILLS

The Wrexham Texans Academy has partnered with the City of Fort Worth to deliver soccer specific skills at the Greenbriar Community Center in Fort Worth. Sessions are 6-7pm m indoor at the center's gymnasium every Thursday night starting October 08th for ages 5-11 and is delivered by the Academy staff coaches. No cleats are allowed as the surface is a basketball gym court, so tennis shoes are needed.

Home school PE lessons

The Academy are launching a new inititave for families who homeschool their loved ones. These sessions are aimed for children of ages 5-11 who are wanting a structured program that will raise their levels of physical activity.
Sessions are split with the first hour being classroom based literacy work on diet, nutrtion, benefits of working out plus much more. The second hour is then in the centers gymnasium working on a structured warm up, activity games to raise levels of participation then fun based competition games to add that fun element to the session.
These sessions are twice a week each month on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-11am at Betsy Price Community Center starting September 01st.
Price is $240 a month (8 sessions) or $70 a week (2 sessions) with all players needing to register through the offical Wrexham Texans website.

Monday Nights Dragon Skills in Plano

The Wrexham Texans are now offering skills sessions in Plano starting on September 14th 6-7pm.
Come along to get some touches on the ball to improve technique and build on existing skills. These sessions are tailored to find a love for the game and improve on existing skills and learn new ones for players who are 5-11 years old. Dates are September 21 and 28 at Hobitizle Park in Plano off Red River and Legacy Drive.
Price is $30 per player.

Saturday morning Dragon Skills in Plano

The Wrexham Texans are now offering skills sessions in Plano starting on September 12th.
Come along to get some touches on the ball to improve technique and build on existing skills. These sessions are tailored to find a love for the game and improve on existing skills and learn new ones for ages 5-11. Dates are September 19 and 26 from 9-10am at Hobitizle Park in Plano off Red River and Legacy Drive.
Price is $30 per player.

All Saints Catholic School Enrichment Program

The sessions will start at 330pm and will be split into 2 parts. The first 45 minutes will be classroom-based literacy work that will involve students creating interview questions and a match report. The second 45 minutes will be soccer skills and agility with our qualified soccer coaches.

This program is for students aged 5-11 and spaces are limited to only 16. Price is $120 per student for the full 6-weeks, and sibling discount is available at 10% off for the second child.

Sessions are to be delivered on school premises after school has finished and will be delivered by qualified and experienced Academy staff.
