Programs

In addition to our Training Center offerings, the Wrexham Texans Football Academy offers a variety of individualized training programs shown below! Note that all players must register before they can participate.

Friday Night Intro Skills

Come along and get some touches on the ball to improve your technique and build on existing skills. This is an ideal program for players of beginning level of soccer to get involved with.

Soccer Saturday Dragon skills

Enhance player skill set with learning strategies on improving dribbling, passing, controlling, goalscoring and defending.

Individual Training Sessions

Hone your skills through a customized training program designed to suit your current skill level. Two programs are offered where you can have a full hour of detail and reps from Coach Merola, or you can invite some of your teammates to join in to improve link up play or creating goalscoring opportunities.

Summer Clinic July 22nd-24th

Learn new skills and tricks whilst improving on basic technical abilities. The clinic runs July 22-24 from 9am-11am at Highland Middle School. We provide a fun and safe environment with lots of touches on the ball.

Player Feedback Analysis

This program is designed to provide honest and specific feedback to individual players from a technical perspective only. No tactical work is presented to players unless specified and authorized by the player's Club or Head School Coach.

Literacy Project

The Wrexham Texans Football Academy (WTFA) Literacy Project is a program created to support local schools from grades 6-8, using football (soccer) as a vehicle to promote reading and writing levels in both boys and girls.

After School Program

5 hour extra curricular football sessions delivered on school campus by Wrexham Texan Football Academy staff.

Soccer Saturday Little Dragons

These sessions are tailored for players ages 4 and 5 with the focus on introducing motor skills and coordination drills to enhance their change of direction whilst showing them an insight into ball manipulation.
