Programs

In addition to our Training Center offerings, the Wrexham Texans Football Academy offers a variety of individualized training programs shown below! Note that all players must register before they can participate.

Elite finishing clinic grades 4-6

Register now before all 8 spaces are booked up. These sessions are tailored for players in grades 4-6 who play in an environment of advanced players. Sessions are to start on Friday April 10th and continue through May 08th (5 sessions in total) from 6-715pm at Leo Adams Middle school on the turf field. Players will improve their accuracy and decision making using different targets to enhance their finishing and shooting.
Dates for these are April 10, 17, 24, May 01 and 08.

These sessions will be delivered by Coach Merola.

Individual Technical Training Sessions

Develop player technical abilities through a customized training program designed to suit current skill level. Two programs are offered where players can have a full hour of detail and reps from Coach Merola, or you can invite some of your teammates to join in to improve link up play or creating goalscoring opportunities.

Player Feedback Analysis

This program is designed to provide honest and specific feedback to individual players from a technical perspective only. No tactical work is presented to players unless specified and authorized by the player's Club or Head School Coach.

The Literacy Project

The Wrexham Texans Football Academy (WTFA) Literacy Project is a program created to support local Elementary and Middle schools using football (soccer) as a vehicle to promote reading and writing levels in both boys and girls. The project has and continues to be implemented throughout the City of Fort Worth Parks and Rec Department during the summer months at community centers across the city. To date, almost 200 children have had access to the project which has elevated reading levels while also improving physical activity levels using the game of soccer to enhance this.

Highland Pre-K Little Dragons

The Wrexham Texans Academy are launching a new program every Friday starting April 10th through May 01st for Pre-k and Kindergarten students who are interested in soccer. The Academy are running two locations at Highland Middle school and Leo Adams from 5-6pm. These sessions are designed for players at beginner level with the main focus on movement, touches on the ball by changing direction and social interaction with confidence building skills. Dates for these are April 17, 24, and May 01.

These sessions at Highland will be delivered by Coach Griffith.

Tuesday & Thursday skills APRIL

Come join in with the Wrexham Texans boy's and girl's Academy teams and improve technical development in a fun and safe environment. These are for players in grades 4-6 for boys and girls. Sessions will be at Highland Middle school on the turf field from 6-715pm every Tuesday and Thursday starting April 07th. Price per player is $105 for the month which includes all 8 sessions. Sibling discounts are available.

These sessions will be delivered by Coach Gallagher.

Highland skills APRIL

Enhance and improve technical development with this 75-minute session every Wednesday in April from 6-715pm at Highland Middle school on the turf field for players in GRADES 1-3. Sessions are tailored to maximize touches on the ball and improve agility and physical fitness using the ball. The price is $65 per player.
Session dates are:
April 15, 22 and 29.

These sessions at Highland will be delivered by Coach Griffith.

Friday Night Dragon Moves APRIL

Come along every Friday from 6-715pm and get some touches on the ball to improve technique and build on existing skills. These sessions are tailored for players in GRADES 6-8 who are either looking to improve their skills set and be part of their middle school soccer program. Dates are April 17, 24 and May 01st on the turf field at Highland Middle school. Price is $50 for all 3 sessions or $20 per individual session if player cannot make all 3 sessions. If we have enough interest from both boys and girls, the plan is to have indoor teams that will participate in the indoor league at Game On starting in June.

Leo Adams skills APRIL
